Overview

We are developing research capacity development in our African partner institutions through training and professional development of scientists, building of infrastructure and transfer of technology through North-South and South-South training partnerships. Trainees include senior partners and post docs, PhD and Master Students and health professionals including technicians, nurses, MDs, and community health workers involved in the trial. Short term training includes courses in research methodology, GCP, obstetric ultrasonography and other courses of relevance to the project implementation and data management and dissemination/communication skills.

A professional development programme links PhD students to senior research partners across the partner institutions within the Consortium.
